Get a Shotgun, shotguns and buckshot is gonna be your best way to kill mutants. Especially Snorks in X-18/X-16.
If you want to get rich quick, pick up and only sell your Artifacts to the scientists in Yantar, same with mutants parts. They buy them at top dollar and you can easily make 100K in a few Artifact runs.
After I'd suggest getting the SEVA suit from them too, its one of the 3 end game armors and offers you the best protections from Anomalies and Radiation while giving you decent bulletproof protection (I think like 45-50%)
One more suggestion, after you turn off the brain scorcher in Red Forest head back to Cordon and not immediately to Pripyat.
Alright, you were super detailed, thanks al ot for all the tips, will try follow most of them.
I've played through SoC like a dozen times now so I tend to pick up a lot of stuff by memory.
Also I'd switch out that 9x39mm Desert Eagle for something in .45acp, 9x39mm is really heavy and carrying a lot of ammo for it will weigh you down a ton.
Do you think the other two games are worth it too?
Also what's your favourite between Metro and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.?
Call of Pripyat is worth playing, Clear Sky not so much unless you're a completionist.
Also thats hard to call, I love both game series but I think I gotta go with S.T.A.L.K.E.R just because i've played so much of it.

Agh, I hate you so much now.. played the STALKER games like a mad man.. its like Fallout/Skyrim once you see someone play it you want to again, again and again.
