unfortunately the never games cannot be modded despite all the fancy new stuff. That makes community veterans to stick to older games or abandon the franchise.

In graphic and sounds, there was a huge step, but unfortunately not in the Modding. Only a huge step backward, which is a really bad thing. Newer battlefield games on Frostbite engine could benefit so much from mods, but unfortunately EA just wants money and they are too stupid to realize how much more money they could earn if they would market Modding for battlefield properly.

Good example of great modding approach - is the Bohemia Interactive with ARMA 3- which includes many features include the AI improvements,realisctic vehicles porting and open world + have the strong modding community and developers, such as Red Hummer Studios providing mod RHS, which include modern real-life vehicles, weapons,solders, even aircraft carrier(f-18 super hornet mod)
