A longer time period ago I was just a normal player like so many others like you. But now I'm a developer and mapper myself. I will update my modpage as often as possible. Should you speak german then make also sure to visit my website which is supporting a game named: Operation Flashpoint.

harembomber2000 Thank you. I'm honored you'd be happy to know that I've finally returned work on my mod and this time for real. I'm using featureful SDK which is literally for most parts the same code that Field Intensity uses by the same devs.

I've already built my first real new map since 2016 and it's gorgeous. Expect new monsters, new skins of monsters and for most new high quality voice acting.

Change the color of your moddb page. It's so green that you barely see the follower button which in turn hurts you as a modder. I couldn't read the follow button.

As your for mod itself. It looks interesting but you certainly need to spend much more time on your maps. They're both simple in design and execution. At it's current level it is a mod that would have been acceptable back in 2000. 1 Year post release Half-Life 1 when people were still learning the Editor and sorts.

On that I certainly agree with you Cvoxalury. I myself miss the old epic Opposing Force main menu that had this moving animation playing. But still. At the end it's the game that counts & not the main menu where you spend less than a minute on. As for issues and game bugs. There are numerous mods out there that re-enabled the full set of old WON game behaviors. One has just to look.

Agreed. Even providing WON support (while extremely cool) sounds tedious. While each of us still hangs around on a Engine that's older than most the users on this website. There's still some truth to the following saying: We've got to move on and put old Ghosts to rest.

I would even exclude WON support if I were you. There are few fossils that still use WON to this day due to their paranoia of using tools such as Steam. Every mobile retail company, Google they already know all and everything they need to know about you as a person (a lot). To be afraid to use Steam, Epic the EA Client etc. it all the sudden starts sounding absurd. It certainly was a valid thought pattern in the early 2000s but no longer holds any subsistence. Of course it's everyone else's prerogative.

The majority of WON users use cracked versions as they never bothered to purchase this great gem of a game. Not even for $1. Why should they get supported?

I'd limit myself only on the 25th anniversary edition. Safe yourself as much time and headache as possible. But that reflects only my personal opinion though.

Oh welcome back @FedeShepard_HLOR. Looking forward to be playing yet another mod from you. The initial screenshots look fantastic.

Btw. Make sure to check out this SDK:

Twhl.info
Github.com

It contains all the Opfor Assets, including fog, improved npc path finding, the rope entities, Model and sound replacements without the need to code them in. Setting monster relationships towards each other or the player = allied or enemy and so much more.

It might benefit this mod of yours greatly and it might also benefit your older mods.

Having that vent access door next to the lamp up there makes 0 sense. Seeing how it is larger than the support bars it is sitting on.

23-down - - 3,552 comments @ I'm trying to integrate my mod; (Featureful SDK)

Judging by the screenshot you downloaded the wrong thing. What you downloaded is the whole github repository of said project. The majority of files aren't required and it makes only sense to have them if you intend on coding stuff into that SDK yourself.

Github.com <<< Here is the actual mod version download link for mappers to begin with right away.

Just extract it like any other mod into your Half-Life main directory and then move your maps, models over to that new folder featureful. Make also sure to add the featureful.FGD (containing the monsters for placement inside the editor) into your map editor later on.

Great idea. I'd love to see that mod. Of course I'm also a little skeptical, seeing how you start 1 mod after another without ever delivering anything not to mention the loss of your custom made SDK codes.

I recommend you purchase yourself an external HD or use a cloud to make backups of your work.

Btw: Check out this project: Moddb.com

They added the brown/orange beta Shock-trooper model and brought it up to specs of the default op4 model. Seeing how you're even adding red versions go for it and grab the beta model.

I wish you the upmost luck on this one. Nobody ever built a mod for Race X. That'll be truly unique. :)

Well then. Get the show started. Granting us your first map screens asap.

A. For us to see whether you're even capable of mapping.

B. For you to create a loyal fan base of followers that provide you with feedback on shown screens & vids.

Either way, I wish you best of luck. Where there is a will - there is a way. Everything is possible.

Hm in industrial complexes it isn't that unusual that you sometimes have vast electronics sitting in dry basements regulating the facility on top. I've seen it in numerous storage halls back then when I worked as logistics labor.

Otherwise you're correct of course. We'd expect to see rather more pumps and generators in a basement. Computer hubs more likely on top near office complexes.

Not sure about the Container on screen. Find something else. The first containers were developed by the American Malcom P. McLean and used in 1956. So a whole lot later than this mod here plays on.
