This project is a side-scrolling adventure game with a destructible block-based environment (similar to that of Terraria or Starbound). The game will follow a quest line with a plethora of side quests along the way. You can choose from several races to play as. This game takes place in the future, but will involve space travel, and other planets will have technology that existed in the past. Hundreds of different species of creatures and plants (both existent and not) will be randomly scattered through the different planets. Your job will be to design sprites for all entities, players, npcs, everything.

You will also be in charge of designing textures for blocks, objects, items, and anything else included in the game, as well as the designing of a logo and font for our game's title and gameplay. As of immediately, you would be the only artist for the game, but we may get more. We already have a few pieces of concept art for the game's art as well. To get this job, you won't need much previous experience, just a portfolio of previous art you have made. If you have worked with another development team that has produced a game, please include screenshots of the game with a description of what you contributed. This project will be the first of our company, Dolphin Friendly Games, so we will be unable to compensate you for your work with us at this moment, but future jobs may be available with our company that pay money.

Our work environment is very safe. Race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, it makes no difference to us. Anybody with the correct skills is accepted. Once you join our team, development will pick up pace (we already have programming done in a very early stage) and we will set deadlines each week to complete small sections of the game. You will answer to me, the founder of Dolphin Friendly Games.

You will be required to get to know the team, and if the coder needs something done art-wise, once I 'okay' it, you will be expected to complete it. We plan on having the game done around January 2017.
