La Brea Gaming Studios is seeking a dedicated and talented 2D Artist to complete Country Match - an educational game designed to teach world geography in a fun way based on the game Concentration. The objective of the game is to match the flag of a country with its geographical border.

Why Work with Us on this Project?

- The programming of the game is close to being complete. This means that you will see immediate results and your art will be integrated into the game nearly as soon as it is complete.

- The game has a well-defined scope and the tasks for you would be clearly defined. This means that your hard work will result in a game that is submitted to the App Store for consideration. In fact, we are targeting a submission date of September 30, 2016.

- Even though the tasks would be well-defined, we would provide you with the creative freedom to have a significant impact on the overall game. None of the art has been started, so it is a great opportunity to lead this effort from a clean slate.

What Would I be Doing?

The game is based on Concentration and the objective is to match the flag of a country with its geographical border (or outline). We have identified 50 countries that we would like to include in the first release; therefore, tasks would be to create the following art assets:

1. Flag of the countries to place on the front of a card.
2. Geographical borders to place on the front of a card.
3. Art design that would be placed on the back of a card.

This is a volunteer position; therefore, we would not expect you to work a certain number of hours during the week or attend mandatory meetings. The motivation should be to have your name in the credits section of the game and your art displayed in a game that will be submitted to the App Store (and, hopefully, approved).

We hope that you find this to be an interesting opportunity and we look forward to working with you!
