Environmental Artist job

We are looking for an environmental artist to continue from where our previous artist left off. We will be looking for an artist who has a style close to our current aesthetic as well as someone who has some experience working with pixelation and art in a 16-bit or similar design. We are looking for a digital artist who is comfortable with depicting fantasy land- and cityscapes; some examples would be futuristic cities, savannas with wildlife made of light, and extensive underground caverns.

Further information about the game, including a deeper summary of the story and styles of the levels, will be given upon contact and indication of interest. Payment will be negotiated with the director after coordination and agreement.

About who our previous artist is no longer wit us: Although he has an art style that we were excited to have with our design, the previous artist felt that he wasn't prepared enough personally to complete the pixelation of his style in the time he had available.

Synergist Gaming is a company that is just getting on the ground, taking steps toward developing our first few titles. The game you would be working on with us is tentatively called "Soul Keeper," a 2D side-scrolling shooter in the style of Metroidvania/Mega Man. The player controls a bounty hunter on a mission to avenge the death of his family by eradicating the dark, infectious enmity of Chaos Incarnate from the known universe.

The time schedule for a demo release for Soul Keeper is currently up in the air due to the setbacks with this and one other open position.
