Anvil Drop is a small indie studio working on it's first title, Anomaly 1729. In Anomaly 1729 the player is placed in a completely alien & abstract environment, where the player is challenged with solving 3D spatial puzzles by having control over rotating the entire world on all three axis. Imagine yourself trapped inside a Rubik's cube and you have to solve it from the inside out.

• Total Character Flexibility – The player has control over a very powerful world altering gun, which allows the player to manipulate the entire world, to the extreme ability of rotating the entire game space on either of the three cardinal axis X Y & Z respectively.
• Free Roam – Unlike traditional puzzle games, where the player has to complete puzzles in the linear fashion. Anomaly 1729 allows the player to complete puzzles within a given world in any order they want. This approach to puzzle order frees the player from moments of high frustration by giving them the ability to step away from a puzzle, but not have to step away from the game.

Responsibilities:
• Work with production, engineers, designers and artists teams to create code within established deadlines.
• Ensure the delivery of practical and timely solutions that meet the game design and technical requirements.
• Ensure code is modular, self-contained, and defensive and observes the technical constraints on the system.
• Adhere to good programming practices and coding standards.
• Continually review the game and development processes to identify potential improvements.
• Gameplay implementation
• Dynamic systems such as scripted events, and AI behavior.

Requirements:
• Willingness to work within a unique compensation model.
• Passionate about playing and making games, and has a good knowledge of the games industry in general.
• Excellent C++ programming skills, with excellent knowledge of object oriented development.
• Excellent UE4 Blueprint scripting skills.
• Self-motivated and pro-active with a strong work ethic, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of most areas of game development (physics, AI, gameplay, rendering, online, tools, UI, audio) with expertise in at least 1 area.
• Able to analyze unfamiliar code of a reasonable complexity to understand and extend the functionality of an existing module.
• Proven ability to debug defects of a significant complexity, including memory related issues, multi-threading, and assembly level debugging.

The position will begin as unpaid/intern, and could change to a paid position upon the successful completion of fundraising.
