This is the theme I envision to play after Trixie runs away from Ponyville. She is down and out but full of anger and fury at her humiliation (as she sees it) at the hooves of Twilight. Instead of being bitter, she focuses her anger on studying true magic in the hopes of one day coming back and being more powerful than Twilight. This is what she is dreaming when she falls asleep studying.
