Holiday news + some release info - GPI - gameprog.it

Hi All!
Ready for holidays? We too. But before you will take some rest, we have a WIP for THE BODY CHANGER.. so you can sleep well, during the holidays :P

First of all, we are near to the end of the game. No, really :D But, wait, there is still a lot to do. We are working on last sector which will be last "place" even if there will be some other parts because, you know, the metroidvania part of the game, with all the purifiers and stuff. ;)
Then of course we have a lot of PR to do, we have a new game pitch (tks to some @tha_rami videos and others, from YT) and we are thinking about a new press-Kit + new promo arts .
Reach people is hard as hell, we made mistakes but we are learning and maybe we are in the right direction this time.

So, to be precise, our next milestone is to finish the Sector 5 between September and October and then move to early access (on STEAM) and finally complete the game at 100% for end of the year.
Early access is not sure, to be honest, we are thinking about it because it could be an interesting opportunity to have more feedback and some money that we could invest in making the game nicer.
...in any case, if you haven't taken the game here on Desura and you want to pay it at the current discount price before we move to early access, the time is right. Of course if you buy it directly from Desura you will have a STEAM KEY (when released of course) from us.

On the pure game development side, we have some other interesting updates.

Sector 5, as written, has a lot of different parts and one area with the mutated Dart SynBs is ready and completely playable. It's an interesting part, a mix of action and exploration that we enjoy a lot and we hope you will too. And there is also a nice new (fat) weapon ;)
We have now all the enemies in game, as planned, plus more parts noiser-involved, with puzzles of course ;).

Since last alpha we introduce also a "burning" sfx on the red water so it will be more clear for ANYONE that red water is bad, even for those that don't read the messages and info boxes :P.
And finally the uber asked feature "please make me reload while moving" was accepted and is now finally in game. So now you can WALK AND RELOAD. So many asked for this and the request bend us completely... Oh, btw, we will make a flag in case, like us, you like the hard way and reloading while standing was cool for you :D
