As for the Windows version of Skyrim & Oblivion, perhaps mods could be published on Desura at some point in the future, but nothing is promised, nothing is sure.

Well, there is an open source game engine in development at the moment for The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind. It is not quite complete yet, but it is expected to be completed sometime this year, and they have made some really good progress on it. If you are interested, you can do a google search for openMW. Even if you don't care that much about Morrowind, though I think it is still the best TES game released, it is still significant because it is a step toward getting the later TES games running. TES 3-5 all use the gamebryo engine and have very similar file formats, so it is quite possible that further work can be done to get enough features implemented for the newer TES games as well. Either way, I will just be thrilled to have Morrowind running natively on Linux.
