Zombie Grinder is the debut game of TwinDrills, an indie game development duo made up of Tim 'Infini' Leonard and Jordan 'Jordizzle' Chewning. It's a multi-platform (windows, mac, Linux!) (also Free!) cooperative multiplayer arcade game, reminiscent in style and gameplay of retro games like 'Zombies Ate My Neighbors' and 'Super Smash TV!', but with the added benefit of some newer game mechanics - achievements, ranking, player-customization, rpg style stats and so forth. The game sports a variety of different game modes, from co-operative 'campaign' style levels, to wave maps and even the classic 'pvp' style game modes - deathmatch, capture the 'bag' and so forth. All of these mods are bristling with a variety of weapons and items, all lovingly displayed in Jordan's classic quirky pixel-art style.

I wrote a quick tutorial on making wave maps in the SDK. Provides all the bare bones knowledge to get the map functioning correctly :)! Sorry that I'm terribad at formatting HTML >_>...

I will put all my mapping questions here so they will all be in the same thread.

If you use some own made tiles and backgrounds, will others have those as well when they download your mod? I feel like needing a blue background so I can make streams, river, lakes, bridges, cliffs and seas. From the tile set above the flowers on grass I also need a tile that's covered with those little blue and pink squares and one with only the dirt. Of the same tiles the one with only 1 square in the bottom corner also looks weird when you want those squares in the top corners. They look like pressure plates that are pressed.

When others will have them as well I can make those tiles and background myself I hope and otherwise I have to think of other things to put in my map. Especially having something for water would increase the possibilities a lot.

A tile to make the side walks bigger would be nice for alleys.

Edit:
Discovered the function that puts a transparent coloured layer over all tiles which does fine for water :)

Edit 2:
How do you get those zombies corpses and the trigger that opens an info box? When I use the same sprite for the dead zombie as is used in C1_s1 I'm getting the sprite of a zombie that's alive.

Edit3:
Map has been updated in the map creations, but it wouldn't let me post a new post :(

If you add them to the main tileset then no, if you make a copy of the tileset and add them, then yes.

Modding rules are basically = You can add but not modify.

To make zombie look dead open the object properties and change the Frame to the index of one of the dead animation frame (I can't remember the index, just look at the sprite, indexes start from 0 and go from left-right top-bottom).

For triggers, just add a trigger object, resize it to an appropriate area for the player to use it in. Open propeties, set cause to "Input", set "Effect" to "Show Message", put your message box text in "Message Text" and set the "Trigger Direction" To "Any", and the "Interact Text" to whatever you want to display above the users head (eg. "Read Sign?").

Long story short, play with the object properties and you'll work it out, most are pretty obviously named ;)

Thanks for the help :)
I was trying to add the trigger as a decal all the time -.-'

When I make a map again and feel like I'm missing sprites I will give spriting a try as well. If I make another map it will probably be something like a forest with a graveyard and some streams or I must get better ideas.

Slow your horses kind sir, you are forgetting something important.

When working on a map remember to select the kind of style you want to play. These preset game modes are also known as scripts to programmers. Now to select a script, you go to "Map", "Map Properties", scroll on down until you see "Game Mode". Click on browse, and the scripts to choose from are in "Bin" -> "Config" -> "Game Modes".
Remember, you always need a script to tell the game what to do, and what not to do.

And as for questions:
Is there a way to zoom in?
Can there be a right click menu?
How to copy/paste objects?

No zooming.
Right mouse button is generally used for moving the camera, I may make a context menu for right clicking on objects though, we shall see.
Copy/Paste is not implemented at the moment, may be in future.

Sorry the editor was mainly designed with the dev team in mind :P. Its not the friendliest thing around.

I'm probably just an idiot that can't follow instructions properly lol  like where the \Zoning\' tab is, or the 'No Fodder Zombies entity from \Zombie\ '. I can't find some of the things that are said in the guide, maybe add some arrows to the pictures to make it even more easier to understand?XD ...or not. idiots like myself don't deserve to make a map lol O_o

You want to click Map Properties - this is the icon that looks like a pencil on a globe. Let me show you which one I mean:
