This adds more opportunities for the game. It will now be 3d. While i was working on the game originally, even though it was 2d... all the animations and characters were done in 3d.
The catch is i have never used an Unreal engine in my life. But that's ok. Because i love learning.
So what has been achieved thus far?
It has been 2 days since the decision to change engines.
All that has been done...
Getting the character into the game
Getting all the art assets into the game.
Getting some of the animations into the game.
Created basic movement logic.
Hopefully in the next 2 days i can complete creating the attack combos. Once they are done i will do the enemies.
Then the powerups and so forth.
All in all i think the catastrophe of missing the deadline and having a game that ran poorly on some systems was a blessing in disguise.
