Description

The Torgo system is located in the Deneb Quadrant of the Epsilon Sector. The system consists of a yellow (G2V) main sequence star with one terrestrial planet, three gas giants and an asteroid field.

The Torgo star is very similar to Sol in size and age, but those are the only similarities that exist between the two systems.

The Torgo system is an important Confederation system as it is the headquarters for Confed forces in the Epsilon Sector. As a result of its importance, the system has a major star base which is Torgo HQ in orbit around Torgo III. One of the main draws leading to the importance of the Torgo system are the seven jump points, the most of any star system in the Epsilon Sector.

The Torgo system hosts some small mining settlements on Torgo 3.1 and Torgo IV, all of which are contained within ecodomes as the environments of the planet and moon are not conducive to terraforming.

Due to its strategic location and listing as a Sector HQ, Confederation High Command expects the Kilrathi to make frequent raids into the system as well as potentially attempting to take the system with a major invasion force. In anticipation of these potential Kilrathi forays, Confed Fleet has stationed pickets at all of the jump points and has laid several extensive mine fields in areas where the Kilrathi would be expected to traverse.
