This is a game about walking. It is a game about insomnia. It is a game about groves of trees and about sonorous riddles and of manipulating a mysterious force.
Game
Gameplay in Weekend varies wildly- across 5 acts, the game plays like a puzzler, an exploration game, a platformer, and various combinations of the three. Without spoken narration or text hints, Weekend relies entirely on what you do and what you need to do to tell a story.
Weekend takes place in a 2-dimensional vector-art world that consists of procedurally-generated plants, machines, and terrain. Even the music is generated on-the-fly, responding to your actions and the world around you (and occasionally factoring directly into how you play the game).
The game's Kickstarter has gone live! Here's a trailer:
You can back the Kickstarter at Kickstarter.com or learn more about the game at www.pyrrhicsoftware.com/weekend/
More media and development news will continue to be posted as the funding period continues.
