Hi to everyone!!!
Well, all games needs props right? Boxes, chairs, tables, fake guns etc. Our game also need props. There are meteorites, missiles etc. Let's have a quick look at them :-)
With normal mapping in unity3d
Big range missile. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHA!!!!!!
Homing missile. You can jump into light speed, but you can't hide ;-)
Aaaaaaaand here is Javi making some "weird" tests with the glow for the game. Do you like it? :D
This is the end of this post. The next one I promise a video tutorial for the laser. I PROMISE!!!!
Bye and thank you very much
:-)
When rendering with normals, try and use 2 light sources, with different tints to pull out the detail, also try not to render dark objects to a black background, it makes it hard to see the asset your trying to showcase. Keep up the good work.
Edit: What uv mapping are you using on the meteorites, they look cylinder mapped as they have warping (distortion) at the top, Have you tried pelt mapping them you may get a more uniform texture.
Hi!!! Thanx for the comments. It's totally 100% true what you say about light sources and normal maps, but we wanted to show the out, dark and lonely space...so this came out. I'll tell the 3D artist all the good advices you gave us
Thak you so much and keep tuned!!! :-)
