Hello to everyone!!! First of all let me introduce ourselves. We are four true game fanatics. Each of us has experience in some of the aspects of a video-game, 3D artists, concept artists, designer, programmer, musician etc. We want to do a good game, not a AAA game, that's obvious, but we have a lot of heart, a lot of hard work and a lot of free time XD. On this dev blog we will share with you the experience of making a video-game. It'll be long and hard, but always worth it. Thank you and welcome!!! Ibai

Post news Report RSS 3D modelling. Props part I

In all games there is a fundamental piece of the 3D modelling part. It's the "props". This little "thingies" that have no "real life" but they're really important. Here are some of them :-) Enjoy

When rendering with normals, try and use 2 light sources, with different tints to pull out the detail, also try not to render dark objects to a black background, it makes it hard to see the asset your trying to showcase. Keep up the good work.

Edit: What uv mapping are you using on the meteorites, they look cylinder mapped as they have warping (distortion) at the top, Have you tried pelt mapping them you may get a more uniform texture.

Thak you so much and keep tuned!!! :-)
