A futuristic wild west, Warm Gun combines the favorite motifs of the classic western genre with the scraps of an obliterated technocracy. World War III has been fought to the tipping point and ecologists long unheeded cries have been silenced by the grim truth of their predictions. To the last drop of oil have the worlds resources been depleted, and only sporadic traces of modern structure can be sifted in the dust. Time ticks forward but humans must retrace their advancement back, through a history that has already been lived and to the Wild West for the second time around. We have trampled ahead to the past in muddy boots, to the United States of late 19th century. Greeted by the ghost of the wide-open country, the exhausted land is barren too, of all the old dreams we fulfilled beyond our means. This spun western lets you create your own one-of-a-kind characters and unique gangs; choose from weapons new and strange and a wider range.

Report RSS Warm Gun - Sneak Peak: Red Line

This week, we are giving everyone a sneak preview of a new level we're starting on called "Red Line"...

Sneak Peek: Red Line

In this brand new sneak peek, we will be providing a preview for a new level known as the ‘Red Line'. Here we find ourselves exploring the subterranean world of the public transport system. Watch out gunners! This could make for some heated close-quarters engagements.

The level itself is definitely still in the early stages of development and the dev team are eagerly improving our other maps at the moment to get them into a high-quality playable state. As such, it is unfinished and subject to change. Naturally, none of this currently represents the quality of the final product and this sneak preview is simply showing you the direction we are moving in. We hope that you like it!

Visual of the Week

This week, a few of our developers had a bit of fun by taking up the challenge of creating a vehicle out of our existing assets. This was purly an internal competition for us to mess around with some fresh ideas. Here is one of the entries we thought we would share with you. This kind of asset won't make it into the game...unless some of you actually want to see more strange and interesting things like this...

The internal contest has already brought out the creative side in our developers. When we set the rules we didn't define how it should operate or what parts it had to have.

Can't wait to show you guys some of the crazy contraptions some of our devs have put together!

Agreed, I love the color rich look you chose for a post-apocalyptic world rather than the over saturated grayed out style most games of the era choose!

Make special game modes where youo play with the "strange things", so who don't want it,won't have to play with it, but who wants, can play.
