"Warbanners" is a turn-based, tactical strategy game with role-playing elements. Managing a squad of mercenaries, the player will experience the story campaign's 42 missions, with the ultimate goal of solidifying their place in the ancient legends. Key features: • Create a unique army: hire and equip soldiers, develop their fighting qualities, and learn new skills. • Hire assistants: although they do not participate in battles, assistants give different bonuses, including a formidable catapult, poisoning enemies, increasing morale, and much more. • Immerse yourself in a multi-faceted battle system that takes into account a variety of factors, including landscape and lighting, the direction of the unit's gaze, morale, and fatigue. • Use the environment for tactical purposes: freeze rivers, chop and burn trees, dig trenches, build bridges and barricades, and so on. • Choose the optimal level of difficulty: from easy for beginners, to nightmarish for sophisticated tacticians. With every step marked by blood and iron, an invisible but deadly threat becomes more tangible. Darkness, brooding in the corners of the soul, becomes ever more palpable....

History

Our mini-company consists of two people, we're from Russia. I program, my partner makes 3D models. Also four people help us - a musician, an artist (from Ukraine), writer (from England) and, of course, my beloved wife. We want to create a game that will appeal to fans of turn-based strategy of “old school”. We were inspired by the old games, deservedly become classics of the genre: Fire Emblem, Fantasy General, Fantasy Wars, Dark Omen, Age of Wonders... Oh, what was the game! From the new, we are very close to the impending Battle Brothers and quite fresh Dungeon Rats. For me, a gamer with 20 years of experience, Warbanners - is a game of a dream. Describing the battle system of Warbanners we can courageously use the expression «easy to play - hard to master». Game mechanics of Warbanners bases on the classic action points and takes into account many factors, including the illumination, direction of gaze, the morale and fatigue... Many of the objects on the battle field are interactive: you can cut down the trees, freeze the river, move the barrel... You can build bridges and barricades, dig ditches and set fire to the trees... Between battles the player engages in the management of the army. Mercenaries grow in levels, increasing their characteristics and learning new skills; can be equipped with magical potions and artifacts. Assistants are ready to join to the squad for a modest fee. They do not involve in the fighting, but give useful bonuses.

The game takes place in a fantasy world. The player assumes the role of mercenary squad commander of "Silver Griffins." His small but formidable army will be involved in the bloody wars, to protect the weak and confront an ancient evil.
