I figured we might need a new thread to differentiate this beta from the previous one.

Okay, I played a bit this morning and I have a list of stuff I noticed which may need attention.

One thing is that both this version and the last don't keep their settings from one game to the next. Every time I play I have to go into settings and change the mouse, the screen size and the detail level. Both X and Y for the mouse are exactly opposite to the way I prefer them, the screen size keeps resetting to 800x600 (I prefer 1080x1024), and I notice that if the game detail is on High, the game is sloggy and I can't move around very quickly (I set it to Medium and it's okay).

Another definite issue is that this seems to currently be a single-player game. GH and I tried to find each other, and tho were were both on top of the same rock, neither of us were visible to the other.

The other graphics issue shows up in the new intro sequence. There are these little glowing red warts all over the place and they all say "Replace" on them in white lettering. Very amusing. I did like this whole night sequence, and I want to get back to it! :)

After the night sequence, the instructions at the start of the trail are still upside down. And you know you can instantly turn into a Griffin without going to get the Griffin tablet, right?

Other things...
Griffin turns in the air very slowly. I am gradually learning how to get where I want to go, but I suspect an actual Griffin would be able to turn a little faster than this. It's like trying to turn a commercial jet around.
Then there's the mouse-look function that seems inconsistant. I can't use it when I want -- it just sort of turns on suddenly, and if I use a key to turn, dive or climb, the mouse-look function goes away until the game decides to give it back to me again.
I went up to Floating Island, and the red surface over a lot of the top seems interesting. Some of it is butter, and some of the rocks up there are butter. Particularly interesting was a little white box with black letters that appears when I have Griffin tromp around up there. The letters read: "No surface type. Assign something to this!"

I know one of you reads this site, and I know the other one reads the G+ list. I'm almost inclined to copy and paste this err rpt to G+, just so you will both see it, but I don't want to be rude. Have you any suggestions?

If we buy the Game Via Website, do we get instant access to the Beta?
