Well, I was not expecting to get Greenlit this early, but we broke the top 100 (now at 95/100), which is the point where Valve takes a serious look at your game, typically. We hit this mark relatively early, and still have a ways to go before the next batch of games is evaluated. In the chance that we do not get Greenlit in this batch, we probably will in the next (i.e. if 75 games get Greenlit, I move up 75 spots in the queue. The top 50 games almost always get Greenlit at this point, but that is always open to evaluation).

First of all, thank you all the fans for your kind words and support up to this point (and even your "constructive" criticism ;) ). I have been getting many emails from all over the world, people offering music, art, modeling, localization, funding, and more (don't worry - I am planning to keep this company privately owned). Somebody even said that I "was an inspiration to computer scientists everywhere" which was truly moving to me. I was kicked out of the computer science program in the first college I went to (due to poor grades one quarter), and the dean said that computer science was probably not for me (yeah, I know, first world problems). As cliché as it sounds, never let anyone tell you what you can and can't do. "Impossible" is word that history has proven wrong thousands of times over.

All of that said, I have barely tackled many of the difficult tasks to come. I have never encountered an impossible problem in code, but I frequently have to determine what sacrifices I want to make if I want something to work well/easily.

Right now I am working on implementing characters, AI, and interactions. I have decided to hold off on the Kickstarter campaign until at least June so that I can at least get the beginnings of these things in.

Until then, back to work! I'll post screenshots as soon as anything of interest comes to fruition.
