Hello Viral followers, I have some really bad news.

Posted by on

I would like to announce to my few followers that I won't continue the development of my beloved game, Viral, anymore.
Why? Because being a developer just doesn't mean something to me anymore. Plus, let's be honest, it's not a good game and it looks horrible.

Just look at that! It's simply worthless!

I don't think it is a good idea to keep up the work on this since it is a waste of time and no one will ever play it.

Instead, I will make dubstep. I've been practicing and I think that I'm not bad at all.
I just made this one, you will definitely like it.

I am sorry for those who actually liked the game, but this had to be done. I just can't resist, my true talent is calling me and I must follow it.

This also means the end of my residence in IndieDB, since I won't make games anymore, it will be simply worthless.

I hope you all understand.

Hey. I'm not a commercial game developer or anything either, and I haven't really followed your project, but try not to get discouraged with game developing. I've been at it for years, and have never finished any project commercially, but it's still fun to me, and I feel like the more I do, the better I get, and the closer to being a real game developer I am.

My early projects looked horrible - worse than yours by long shots, and I stopped them as quickly as I started them. Despite this, I kept at it, and I still love getting that initial spark of an idea, and watching it develop into a full game before my eyes. It's something that's very unique in this world - to create something. I hope that you continue to make games, as well, (even if it's just for fun), as I can see that you've got talent to make this project - my old games were much simpler than yours are.

If the thing that stopped you was the complexity of the project or the fact that it takes time to develop a game, that is a legitimate concern. If a project seems too large, then it can feel crushing and overbearing. If this is the case, then try stepping back and taking on a smaller project, perhaps coming back to the project later, or even trying it from a wholly different angle.

Anyway, whatever you do, be balanced about it and have fun. Hope you like filters and wub-wub's! :)

I'm glad you stopped making Viral; it looks as if it was made by a kid.

Damn it, you're right! That Jonas Brother dubstep remix of your is ultimately insane! Gosh! Love it!
