Do trees take damage from the car? if yes, then I guess this isn't a problem. but sometimes when I'm driving through clusters of trees, i'll notice a couple will disappear after i've bumped into them a couple times. - Dacle00

Trees do in fact take damage and get destroyed. The team will be talking about some better feedback for tree destruction.

As a first step here, I got our particle system to work again this morning. This will allow us to add some visuals to the trees when they take damage. I am going to start with adding chunks of wood flying out of the collision point so it looks like you are hitting the tree and doing something. Should be cool.

The trees now have particle effects when rammed with a car. It helps to see the effect when you hit them so it feels more like you are doing something to them. This is in our dev build and in internal testing.

release .9 should have some visual feedback for tree impacts
