There has been a large amount of updates to the game since the last news post, also, the game has been submitted to the IndieCade 2014 competition!
A great deal of content has been added to the game, first of all a complete set of stone types have been added, stones of types from slate, to limestone to basalt haven been added all over the world, a total of 9 stone types with varying durability to craft with. A complete pass has been done to all the wood types as well to balance the durability of each type of wood.
So take note! Crafting items with a lower durability resource will make the item degrade or break faster, or you may not even have the skill to craft at all if your skill is not low enough!
With the new resource balancing, I also added in the ability to create stone and wood walls! You craft a simple "marker", place it on the ground, then craft your wall! Its great for decorating around your hut (once you build that too)!
Torches are now in the game as well. In addition to fires giving off light sources, you can now place torches in the ground, or carry them with you as a mobile light source. No more hunting bears in the dark :)
Also, in addition to the resource items balance, I have performed a complete balance pass on every craft in the game. All the crafts should now be more in line with my vision of how the items should be made, their item requirements and time to craft them. Again keep in mind the durability of the resource types you use, and that will have an effect on the final quality of your items!
That is the gist of the updates, there are many more of course, but these are the main ones!
I hope you enjoy the game! Again, the gave is still in development, so PLEASE give me any comments, bug reports, suggestions that you can. I am only one person creating this game and all help is greatly appreciated!
Some technical notes:
- The game server is running in debug mode so at times the game seem to load more slowly, but don't worry, everything still works fine!
- The game patches through the game server as well, so when you download the installer it may take a while to download the whole game through the game's auto patcher. Just be patient, I do apologize!
