Indie Royale marches in with the July Jubilee Bundle, featuring ten independent games - valued at over $50 - for a bargain, fluctuating price of around a tenth of that cost!
First up is a super-smart indie adventure with a puzzle twist: Telltale Games' Puzzle Agent. Downloadable for Windows and Mac on Steam, Desura and DRM-free, this game uses indie comic creator Graham Annable's unique art style to reveal FBI Agent, Nelson Tethers, who is on his first mission for the U.S. Department of Puzzle Research. Check out the game that AdventureGamers dubs "a charming lite adventure filled with quirky characters and challenging puzzles that anyone can enjoy solving", featuring 30+ puzzles spanning math, logic and spatial thinking.
Next up are five old-school, open-world RPGs brought to you by Spiderweb Software: the Geneforge Saga, now available for Windows on Steam and Windows and Mac on Desura and DRM-free. Set in an alternate sci-fi/fantasy universe, DIY Gamer explains of the old-school RPG: "The whole series is very highly regarded, with each game giving you a rough overarching goal, but lets you go about it however you see fit, developing your own character and your personal squad of mutant minions to tackle the challenges." So what are you waiting for?
Also offered in this bundle is a much buzzed-about 2D platformer inspired by 8-bit action games from the NES era: Oniken, available for Windows on Desura and DRM-free. Play a ninja named Zuku as you slash and hack your way through a dystopian future and battle a dominant military organization of cybernetic warriors known as the Oniken. Offering uber challenging boss fights, a campy sense of humor and great old school 8 bit music, this game can't be missed. Destructoid celebrates Oniken for its presentation: "Oniken feels like a project holistically designed around one person’s love of '80s action film and '90s anime imports."
Included in this bundle is Pom Pom's critically acclaimed psychedelic shmup Mutant Storm Reloaded available for Windows on Steam, Desura and DRM-free. Offering over 89 (!) levels of frenetic fun, each level starts off easy, but quickly works up to large, tentacle creatures and regenerating enemies that are require skill to beat. You can't miss this game, recognized by Eurogamer for being "thrilling, constantly surprising, and possessed of a wonky beauty that makes it unforgettable. ... It's a bit like finding yourself in the midst of a parasite disco staged within the womb of a jelly baby."
Also "marching" in this parade of great indie games are two games from Sophie Houlden: Swift*Stitch available for Windows and Mac on Desura and DRM-free and a bonus game that was created during the Indie Buskers game jam: Rose and Time available for Windows and Mac as a DRM Free standalone. Swift*Stitch offers a plethora of levels, and this game challenges you *not* to press buttons to power your ship but to press the right buttons at the right moment to make it to the end of the maze. Included is a trancelike soundtrack from Aeronic that nicely contrasts to Swift*Stitch's razor-focused play. Also included is Rose and Time, a clever time travel stealth game offering ten levels with a catch: you have to make sure the past you doesn’t see the present you, because that would create a paradox.
Rounding out the bundle is Francisco Téllez de Meneses' labor of love, Unepic available for Windows on Desura and DRM-free. Unepic cleverly combines an RPG with a platformer and offers a quirky sense of humor throughout. Play as Daniel, an average gamer/geek who gets teleported to a fantasy castle while using the restroom during a D&D Game. Destructoid calls Unepic a "unique gaming experience" suggesting that this game is definitely worth a try if you "enjoy running around in castles, jumping around platforms and figuring out the best way to slay monsters." Also available to July Jubilee Bundle purchasers are the "Royale Ring" (offering extra health and experience in each game) and 100 "Unepic Credits" (available via a downloadable key) that you can use to grab special in-game items.
Finally, those who pay $8 USD or their currency equivalent during the July Jubilee Bundle will get 'Insert' from Japanese chiptune legend Prof.SAKAMOTO, a $7 value on its own. This clever concept album, about a future where inhabitants have game cartridge slots on the top of their heads, comes from an artist also famous for his unique Final Fantasy piano performances on YouTube.

I purchased this bundle only for Geneforge...overall, pretty boring bundle...Most of games sooo casual. SWIFT☆STITCH is so ololo generic, Mutant Storm Reloaded is another pompom crap-crazy-shooter, Oniken looks promising (but WHY 8-bit, why not 16bit?), Puzzle Agent - who knows, another quest?, and Unepic - i heard a lot of good things about but still not my genre...
IndieRoyale again rolls down to questionable choice of games.

So what? They provide DRM-Free installers. Do you mean that you cannot download them and install?
BTW, lack of Steam key usually means that game not present on Steam. In case of Unepic Steam told them "the game does not fit in Steam", so i don't see here problem at all.

Too bad. A general complaint. This is not whining.
Of course it's "my" problem that they are not on Steam, how is this even a point of debate for you? I prefer having my games on Steam, simply because I use it more than Desura. Independent installers are nice, but quickly get messy when you have a couple of hundred games on your machine. Also, you have to manually update them.
Why the **** do you think it's okay for a developer to charge twice? Especially from customers who paid up early on, in good faith and supportive spirit?

I asked him a Desura key to play in Desura and he told me:
"Download the demo in Desura and use your current serial to unlock it, so you can play normally".
I did and it worked, now I can play Unepic in Desura normally, but anyway, he is still an ******* because... well, don't know exactly, but I love to troll. ;c)

I figured it out. I'm dumb, but they don't make it clear when you buy the Indie Royale bundle that you have to type a key to unlock the full version.
Well, they said "Unepic available for Windows on Desura and DRM-free.", but technically CD-Key is already form of DRM...

BTW 100 credits meant that this version of Unepic is equivalent of 15.5EU purchase from developer.

There is no CD-KEY to play the game.
Just install it and play it normally. Nothing special has to be done.
The posts of "how to unlock the full version" was from previous DRM versions of the game, much before IndieRoyale, that needed to be unlocked.
However, the IndieRoyale version has no serial or DRM at all.
You may find a serial in the email. This is an optional feature used to exchange credits for speial items... but this is something you can do if you want, and is not needed at all to play the game.

Is Puzzle Agent just Episode 1 or does it have both episodes?
It doesn't include Puzzle Agent 2.
You should not worry about this. As far as i see most of developers once appeared in IndieRoyale seems to return later with their other games. In example radiangames started with Super Crossfire and later bundled almost full their portfolio, pompom games apper in IndieRoyale second time and WadgetEye Released their Gemini Rue and later BlackWell Trilogy.
So you just need to wait some time.

Yeah, I have been waiting for 5 months to get Unepic in their bundle... and they gave me this change right now :c(
Unepic needs a one-timed online-activation to get the game running after you enter your CD-Key (and you have to do it each time you install it on a new computer see "https://www.indiedb.com/games/unepic/news/unlocking-the-game"). So calling this DRM-free is pretty blatant lying.
No CD-KEY is needed. The game is DRM-Free.
There is a serial you can OPTIONALY use for registering and exchange credits for special items, but not needed to play the whole game. It is just an extra thing.

Well. i/m tried Puzzle Agent...while whole concept seems to be nice, and i like cartoon style but idea to constantly solve puzzles to make any move id not very interesting, especially after Tiny Bang Story...

"Music for Puzzle Agents" is an extremely confusing album to me. It doesn't square off at all with "Puzzle Agent Soundtracks"

Wow, is this really not going to be addressed? zip file still has two track 2s and no release data to work with. Can't you Indie Royale folks get something better out of Telltale on this?
Don't need this since I have to many games I need to play but I bought it anyway! Looks like some fun little games especially Rose and Time. Oniken and Swift Stitch should be some good balls-hard games and Puzzle Agent will be fun since I'm too cheap to buy the Layton games. And the music is always nice too :D
If your next bundles have Dustforce or Offspring Fling I would jump on those so hard.
