An adventure game with visual novel-style narrative that's currently in Early Access, Minotaur tells a dark mystery story set in a newly created science fantasy world of synthets, magic-wielding androids and cybernetically enhanced penguins… God, what a (bloody) mess.
This is the first playable Minotaur demo, which includes first chapter of Nod's route, and introduces Nod and Ollie characters. Please read description for additional comments and link to walkthrough.
I'm pretty bad at point and click games... where's the Nod's note?
Also, seems interesting so far, but a small graphical error i keep seeing is sometimes i'll see the faint outline of "box" lines around certain objects.
Hi, xXBerethorXx! Thank you for trying our demo out. We'll sent you a PM so as not to reveal the solution here:-) And thank you for pointing out a graphical error! We've encountered it, too, and will work on fixing it.
I too have been struggling for Nod's note. The music has turned from charming background to a hellish infinitely looping reminder that Nod will starve to death in his home long before I find this code. D: Although I love what I've seen so far. As far as visuals, character design, Ollie's personality :3 : Its all 10/10
Hello! That's a funny and insightful comment:-) Thank you for complimenting visuals... and Ollie's personality! Perhaps you're right about this puzzle being too difficult, especially considering it's the first one. We were thinking about adjusting it a bit to make things easier, as well as implementing a hint system which would help players who are stuck. Also, we will add an option to mute music from in-game ESC menu to help Nod escape descent into madness (although he's going to go through that eventually either way). Cheers!
Loving the art! What software are the characters primarily drawn in?
Hi, Lirisimah! We're happy that you liked the art:-) Our character artist, Demi, uses Photoshop to do the magic she does. She made a screenshot of some of her brushes for you: Uof7.com If you'd like, we can also upload some presets. And Adam, who's responsible for how cool pretty much everything else looks, typically uses Maya, KeyShot and Photoshop for his work on Minotaur.
Really loved the demo, its a bit too short to make much of a judgement but I'm optimistic
Hello! Thank you, we're really glad you liked it:-) We promise that the next one will be substantially longer!
