Trichrome is the "Dark Souls" of arcade-style score challenge puzzle games! The idea is simple, just match tiles up and make large triangles out of four smaller ones. However, you score more points with more interesting shape combinations, so plan your moves carefully -- and quickly! -- because the clock is ticking and the only way to fill it back up is to make more combos. Trichrome is approachable for new players, and many find they can complete a 4 Pure game in less than an hour of practice. But Trichrome is also a challenge for even the fastest, most clever player -- can you break 1,000,000 points, or make 12 Pure? There are 36 achievements to unlock, and three leader boards to gauge your skill: high score, fastest gameplay, and most tiles played. The minimalist visual design, vibrant colours and explosive VFX makes Trichrome a lovely game to watch as and the mesmerizing real-time synthesized multi-channel sound design will keep you coming back for more.

Here's a quote from the review -- "There are many words that can describe Trichrome: difficult, insidious, ruthless, unforgiving ā€“ Iā€™m just going to settle with the word ā€œevilā€. To say that developer Sean Puckett has created a fast-paced tile-matching game for the PC that tests your ability to think fast is putting it mildly."

I love this.

if you can only tag it as one thing I'd tag it a puzzle...though I can see why you would think arcade also...
the puzzle section is also more visible..you will notice the 'browse' area off of the main 'games' screen doesn't even include 'arcade' ;p

Great point. I changed it to Puzzle with a subtype of "Puzzle Compilation" which seemed to be what most other time-challenge matching games went with. What the heck! At least Trichrome should be easier to find now.

So what do you viewers think? Should this be a "puzzle" or "arcade" game?

Thanks for the kind words, btw!

also I think you should expand how you have this tagged on Desura...I saw it on Desura when you released it but didn't buy it right away...I tried using the search function to find it later on and be it user error or Desura malfunction I couldn't get it to work (i see it there now so idk wtf)...then I tried looking in the puzzle section assuming you'd tag it as a puzzle and couldn't seem to find it in there either...I found it today because I got looking through all the recent releases for new cheap games and spied it and had a 'oh there it is' moment... ;0

I've just uploaded version 1.3 for Windows which adds proper full screen support, including a toggle on the presentation screen. As soon as Desura admins approve it, it'll be all yours.

Quick note that I've got the update to Unity and am working on a full screen fix as well as a few other bugs and quirks. Thanks for the support!
