Buried Bundle Download
Apr 9, 2013 Mapping Tool 0 commentsTo ease the initial process we have gathered a bunch of buried towns in the first Buried Bundle
Towns brings a fresh new take on the citybuilding/management genre by introducing many RPG features.
Drawing inspiration from games such as Diablo, Dungeon Keeper and Dwarf Fortress, the game has you managing a settlement on top of an active dungeon. Instead of playing the hero who delves deep into the dungeon, how about playing the town that houses and caters to the hero's needs?
Both the RPG and strategic aspects will be fleshed out over a series of sprawling dungeons.
Craft unique weapons, obtain randomized loot and build a settlement capable of holding back the forces that come up from the depths!

Hello dear men and women,
We are proud to announce the release of Towns v13!
In this build have We added a server support for the buried towns, so now you will be able to download buried towns from other players automatically or from a default server. You no longer need to go out and search for them, they shall come to you.
We have also added items where you can write custom texts on, those carved and written texts will remain when the town is buried, so its possible to send messages through time to other players.
Think of them is kind of like a message in a bottle.
Since v13 sieges now have a chance to appear from underground, so defend accordingly!
Heroes can now make friendships and form parties with other heroes based on their moral. Heroes on the same party will explore together and rush to each other's aid.
We have changed how happiness is calculated in according to idle and work time, so now townies get unhappy if they are unemployed or overworked. Maintain a balance between your townies work and fun times.
There is now an option to reincar
nate unique dead heroes. It is a complicated spell so follow its instructions carefully!
Other than those, there are many more additions, fixes and performance improvements, you can check them all here.
Please, visit our forums andd dont be shy if you have any suggestion or criticism.
So long and may Nux be with you!

It is a game with great potential. The gameplay is like DF Lite (If it existed), which is not coincidental because the developers said they had Toady's masterwork in mind while working on this game. An important difference between Towns and DF is that Towns has an interface more attuned to the human eyes. That's right, wanna mine that wall? Click, drag, click, orders are now set! Now watch the Townsfolk perform hard labor! (Note: Press Ctrl to toggle wall visibility. It makes tracking your village's…

This game needs a lot of work, especially the sound and music. There is some great music on the net that you can license for cheap I would really recommend you take a look at those. The game could use some ambient sounds and all the other sound effects..especially the deaths.

This game has great potential already, much more as time moves onwards :) How much of the items give bonuses already, e.g. bed for decreasing need for sleep and such?
We are currently working on expanding the content as much as possible, adding new values to many variables. I hope you enjoy it in the near future!
For now we have recently had the pleasure of expanding our group to a fourth member. Sphaz is hard at work on content for the game, and Ben, as always, is hard at work designing the graphics for it. While taking everyone's petitions into consideration we have come up with the following changes (soon to be implemented.)
1 bone armor for in between wood and iron
2. campfire as a slow way of cooking without a stove
3 a rare monster that drops a unique item
4 minable stone with mineshaft
5 brownies (creatures, with spawnable towns, NOTE: NOT DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE!)
A huge round of applause for our content manager, who is currently working at Norse God speeds!

Please let mud be used in something, I suggest a new wall type brick or something adobe like were mud is used as a building material.
Cause as it stands now Mud is useless as is and it takes much needed space in the barrels.
Also why is it so hard to find iron? I don't know how many times I've started over[demo] and not once did I find any iron within a 5 level search[planing dig areas helped] but no iron in sight not even copper, and coal is very thinly added in the worlds.
The new version uses mud for mushroom farms, not sure if anything else yet though.
God I love this music, I loved it in dwarf-fortress also, gives a speacial atmosphere.
Could you make it so your townsfolk do not become useless right after they're hungry with no food when there is food available for them to harvest and kill?
In addition, is there a way to make it so the priorities of food are hopped up if your guys are doing other things then they all decide to starve because the food making wasn't high enough on queue?
ALSO, the characters seem to eat and sleep far too much. They spend 75% of the time either sleeping, eating, or running back and forth between the food and their tasks.. Can spend an hour stock piling food only to have them burn through it in no time doing other tasks, which they hardly do as they are sleeping or eating.
Otherwise, it is incredible. I do not remember being so frustrated at this before the most recent updates and I do not see anything about an increased appetite/desire to sleep.
It's due to the new nutritional values, each food has it's own value. Don't worry, we are working on it and introducing many new food types, as well as an early method of cooking (campfire). This should help out a great deal!
I wonder if on any future updates will there a multi-player feature?
Also what's mud for?
-=EDIT=- forgot a word in previous statement
will there be*
Yes, there will be multiplayer in the future
