Even in its early days, Althas has been a land shaken by conflicts. In the early days, these conflicts pitted the Anointed Kingdoms of Men against the dark and demonic forces that threatened them. However, with the passage of time the world has changed. With the Anointed order eroding away and new powers rising, another war looms on the horizon, a war brought on by Man's own actions. Thenodar, a burgeoning new kingdom in the North, and Anorthile, one of the last of the three remaining Anointed Kingdoms, now prepare for a war that will shake all of Althas. Old demons and new enemies gather in the shadows of both lands as each sets their sights on the ruined wilderness known as the Feralands.

Very impressive, but I think I'm gonna need a new pc for this.
Totally worth it though.
I assume the forest won't be as nice and peaceful as it seems to be here? ;)
We are all already needing new PCs.
As for that, it would depend where in the world you go. Man is yet to reach certain corners of the continent.
So there will completely uninhabited regions to explore?
Without any signs of civilisation, where you'll have to find your own path through the wilderness?
Damn, now I'm even more excited.
There's plenty to explore, yep. ;)
This looks fantastic! Also yet another reason to get an R9-290, R9-290x, 790ti or 780...
On the performance issue, the beautiful thing is that Cryengine 3 actually is fairly efficient and yet still pretty gorgeous at even the default "low" setting. But if you want all the fanciness - tessellation and the highest resolutions possible - then yeah, definitely upgrade your computer. Basically, we want to reward those who have put a lot of time into building powerhouses but still let those with rigs that aren't quite at that level play ;)
Accidentally down voted you comment sorry about that. I wish Moddb made it harder to accidentally do that...
Anyways I completely agree with your reasoning. I'm getting kind of tired of games being build for the weakest system, which often is a console since most AAA games are built with consoles in mind. Pretty much the reason why I can't wait for Star Citizen, Lays of Althas, Wild Hunt, Cradle, etc. is because they are going to look amazing while still providing great story and innovative game mechanics.
