Finally! After over a year of development on The Colony we had our first beta test session this week! Here's some video for some INTENSE action.

Progress over the last few weeks have been outstanding. Features that took our team weeks to implement in the past are taking days due to our increasing familiarity with Unity. It is through this increased development throughput that I can produce a plethora of animated content.
Pretty much describes every highschool dance I ever went to.
We're currently experimenting with world events that would drastically change the gameplay and landscape of the level. Things are different in an ants world. Rain, spiders, humans, can make life more interesting than usual.
Anyone remember the lawnmower from Simant?
The Colony focuses on exploration, cooperation, and the never-ending quest to become the greatest colony in the land!

Hi craigman87, the game play is that you are an Ant, and you are part of a colony of Ants (fellow players). Your objective as a colony is to destroy all other colonies in the land. You do this by gathering resources for your colony, building a base to protect your queen, and working together to kill other colony queens.
We are looking for cool Ant-like game ideas though, so if you have some, let us hear them. Our idea-well is running low.

Also, I would like to ask.....would the game include other insects other than ants? in future updates maybe?
Like a bee colony, moth colony, other species of ants maybe ;o
That's the plan! Other species will most likely be roaming creaturs, mounts, or NPCs to your colony.
