TerraTech is heading for open beta this November! Find out what you can expect to see hit play next month.

The hype has been building. The excitement amassing. Finally, after months of waiting, we're able to lift the lid on the exciting new chapter in the TerraTech story.

On Friday 7th November, we're going to enter an open beta via the Humble store, building on the successful closed beta programme many of you have taken part in over the course of the summer. The new beta will extend the game's community to a larger audience thanks to the Humble Store, helping us gather even more feedback ahead of Early Access release on Steam in early 2015.

“We've had a fantastic response to our closed Beta program, and we're incredibly excited about taking that to the next stage with the open Humble Beta launch,” said Russ Clarke, founder of the team behind TerraTech, Payload Studios.

“Everything we do at Payload is community-driven, and Humble has an amazing, engaged community that we think is a great fit for TerraTech. This will allow our experimental, transparent dev process to change up a gear and bring TerraTech to a new level, with the help of our players.”

To celebrate the launch of TerraTech's Humble Beta, the standard version will be available for the opening weekend for just £17.50 (a discount from the normal price of £20). An extended version of the beta, which will also include the R&D Pack DLC, will be available for £26.50 (reduced from £29).

As we've detailed recently, the R&D Pack features vehicle blocks from an 'experimental' corporation, which will only ever exist in the beta versions of the game.

The new ExpCorp will allow beta players to play with blocks that may never make it into the final game, as well as serving as an exclusive test-bed for the development team, allowing community feedback to directly impact the future of the game. You can read more about the opportunities served up by the new corporation in this extensive blog post.

Some of you may be wondering why we’re not announcing our Early Access release this month as we promised before. Don’t worry, it’s still in the plan and if you head over to our FAQs here we’ll explain all.

The TerraTech Humble Beta will be available from the Humble Store from Friday 7th November.
