Tainted Fate is an open world horror adventure game with original gameplay features.
Played in first person, it immerses you into a dynamic story that depends on your decisions featuring two protagonists in different timelines on the same island.
Escape horrifying monsters, solve puzzles and make decisions that will alter yourself and the shape of the world.
The first storyline set in the 1930's follows a man convicted of murder and sent off to the island for the rest of his life. Soon after being dropped off, strange things start to happen as you explore the island, later developing into a story full of mystery, arcane magic twisted with technology and terrifying hostile beings.
The second storyline is set in 2012 and features a young female amateur filmmaker that investigates sites with supposed paranormal activity. Upon hearing about the long abandoned island filled with stories about magic and ghosts, she immediately leaves for the island to film the most terrifying film of her life.
Tainted Fate is being developed in NeoAxis engine and uses the latest effects like Depth Of Field, SSAO, FXAA and Light Scattering to create an immersive and atmospheric world for you to plunge into.
The past few weeks have been hectic with all the preparing for the InfoGamer Expo, throwing out a new Pre Alpha and working on the game all at the same time. We also managed to acquire an Indie License for NeoAxis, so the next PreAlpha won't have that pesky watermark in the top right of the screen and we have more control over the engine.
There will be one more version of the game for free before I start putting in story elements (after that we'll stop with the Pre-Alphas because they would spoil the full game for you).

The changelog is getting big, really big. This version of the game is considered as Pre-Alpha 5\InfoGamer Expo demo. These are the things I could think of that have been included since the last Pre Alpha.
First the highlights:
Don't worry, these models won't be in the full game. These have been added temporarily for the expo for the sake of scaring people until we make original ones.
I've added a new area, the basement:
This area will have an important role in the storyline.
Added chainsaw and axe weapons:
You've already seen the chainsaw in the first screenshot.
We've separated the interiors from the main map, so we can have a lot bigger framerate now and lots more artistic freedom. The only downside is that we have brief loadings when entering and exiting interiors (think Skyrim). Here is an example of subtle lighting we can add now without slowing down the game:
