The world is old, the world is broken. Many gods have risen, ruled an fallen. The last era is nigh, and the remnants of what can be called a civilization now struggle to live on a immense and deadly world. Welcome to subtera.Subtera is a MMO/RPG game with sandbox elements that tries to diverge from the commercial, mainstream counterparts of it's genre by creating a unique way that players interact with the world and how he sees its character progress inside it. The planet is huge and vast, almost impenetrable, filled with new and ancient magic, old civilizations, dungeons, gods, good and evil beings and much, much more, buried deep down under it.
Hello,
on this gameplay video we show some of the combat prototype we're developing on subtera. We want the game to be more focused in skilled battles instead of the ones we see on traditional mmos that are static, one-to-one, and are more focused in numbers (controlling health, stamina and so on) than in the actual activity. Note that, being a prototype the stamina bar, and many of the secondary animations are not ready.
On this gameplay we build a shelter to safeguard our furnace.
The second gameplay video shows how buildings are created on Subtera!
ok... here's the thing... I LOVE MODULAR/MODABLE WEAPONS! (or upgradeable)... please... it would be awesome if you would add something like this to the game if there already isn't... somekind of an unique crafting mechanism... like in the minecraft mod: Tinker's Construct. so that you could replace the parts in your weapon and add enhancements/enchantments... thanks for listening! also i like to be in direct conact with people so if you want to skype/steam name: jklw10. once you polish it up a lil' couldyousend me a copy? im realy liking what im seeing.
Seems far camera not good for precise combat such as for Dark Souls gameplay, and characters are walking to fast.
Or will that be more PS2 game Baldur Gate game style ?
Will it be more open areas ? Building structures to explore ?
Good overhall design and lightening.
Hello supragamer,
thanks for the feedback! Yes, this is the early prototype, we still have to fix the animations, contact hit areas and overall speed fixes. The camera can be zoomed in and we're planning to add a fixed 3rd person camera to make it easier when fighting.
We're aiming for something like Dark Souls :) And yes, you can create structures and change the world, check the other news so you can see them in action.
Cheers
