A free to play, Multiplayer, Stunt Driving game, with global leaderboards, currently in active development by one person, Stunt Car Online is a playable download racing game powered by Unity 3d.
The game will be a pay-what-you-want model where I humbly ask for players to donate a little money to help support me - mostly paying for the astronomical hosting fee's! - but you never know, getting a unity pro license one day would certainly help performance! :)
Currently there is an online demo of the game, but this is rapidly becoming very out dated as I am no longer updating this version.

I bet you thought I'd forgotten about you hadn't you? Well not on your life, I've just been busy working away on the user area of the game.
On the website you can now check out your times, (and other features will becoming online very soon, like searching for friends, or whatever) comparing your best times vs your friends best times, all that sort of stuff. But for now, it's just a pretty graph with your 10 last laps and your 10 best laps (and if they are on the world leaderboard for this track)
as you can see in the screenshot, there's not many people on the world leaderboard yet!, that's only because it's me, me and myself playing the game... I know, I know, I've not released it yet.
Although, I'm now accepting registrations! - if you want to sign up and help me test my scripting I'd be so appreciative. So tell you what, I'll upgrade the first 20 people to register with my user area supporter access.. (remember supporter access will grant you the extra tracks when I do finally release)
Getting this infrastructure right was a big task but I'm near the end of the tunnel now, and I can finally get back to texturing track 3...
Oh and hey, even if you've previously registered with the online game, you'll need to do so again with this new system. It's got a completely new player database.. Sorry about that! - Also if you've donated before this post, please let me know in the comments and I'll update your registration details.
The release really isn't far away now, I promise. I'm going to get on to fixing up car 2's physics, and then polishing some other little bits and then that's it.. release! - eek!

@Booman: I might add some rails on some of the corners eventually, or maybe a "newbie" mode which enables some barriers on the corners, or maybe just an "easy" track which is barriered, but otherwise, staying on the track is part of the challenge...
@midnightmare: Thanks for the comment! It's not intentionally a Stunt Car Racer "remake" as such, just heavily inspired by.. Hope you enjoy playing! :)
I'm hoping he will add some rails on the track in turns (at least) because its extremely easy to drive right off the track.
