Didn`t really run all that well on my laptop. Also, inverted controls? What were you thinking ? :(

Inverted controls make sense for an aircraft/spacecraft game. That's how they work in real life.

I like it, reminds me of starfox!

Also i love cel-shading and it looks slightly cel-shaded so i'm happy about that :)

Drasich, did you do all of the content -- programming, modeling, mapping, sound (besides music) -- alone?

I've done all the programming, modeling and some sounds but triothepunch did all the level design and most of the sounds.
Actually I must say this is not a mod, it was started from scratch and we used our own level editor for the game.
Thanks for the review :)

I figured this much when I saw the SDL_app on the title bar when i started the game ;).

I just have a couple more questions
*Did you create your own mapping format or did you use something similar bsp?
*Is the enemy spawning partially or completely dynamic?
*Do you have a scripting system or are enemy triggers placed on the map?

Yes we use our own format, although it's very simple. Our editor outputs human readable data and then I convert them in binary files.

The enemy spawning is not very dynamic. Each environment has a few different levels to avoid having the same run. They look similar but there are small differences. The game randomly choose what level is next (but the environment stays the same). And then the enemies spawn when the hero arrives according to the current speed of the game.

There is no scripting system. In our editor, enemies are placed in the level and you can choose a few properties like their behavior, if they come in a wave, how much enemies are in the wave...

I'd like to make the editor more usable and then release it under gpl or bsd.
I hope that answers your questions :)
