When the Federation finds itself plunged into a war, a single crew finds itself trapped deep behind enemy lines. Desperately struggling to return home. But how will you do it? Will you destroy all in your path? Or will you make allies and bring your crew home? Star Trek: Tranquility is an action RPG where YOU ARE THE CAPTAIN. You decided where to go and who to talk to or in some cases, not talk to. Through simple actions such as rescuing civilians or capturing an enemy ship to cataloging a gaseous anomaly, you will decide the fate of your ship and crew. In true Mass Effect Style, you will choose your dialogue through strategically placed dialogue options. Please note, that at this time, this is a non-profit fan game. With the ideal that we will pitch this game to the proper owners in time.

So here's the deal folks! We've had almost 100 visitors, roughly 30 or so a day since we've announced this developing game. That's awesome! So to those who've seen us and are watching us a great thanks!

Now we realize that our texture work isn't exactly, on par with AAA games such as Mass Effect or Call of Duty. We're hoping that SOMEONE will step forward with Texturing experience. We only require that you have a working knowledge of 3ds Max as that is where our models are made, however Blender experience is also welcome as we know that Blender has the capability of opening Max Files. As far as texturing programs go, you're free to use what you want, Photoshop, GIMP, ZBrush, whatever you are confident in, please feel free to let us know.

If you're interested in doing some texture work for us, we're more than happy to review your portfolio! Submit your portfolio or demo reel to us at starforcemedia2@gmail.com and we'll review it as quickly as possible!

The bad news, we cannot compensate you at this time financially. As this is a Demo Pitch towards CBS one day, we're working as a non-profit standing. We'll let CBS decide if our game is worthy of being created and we'll go from there. For now however, what we can offer you, is a glowing recommendation, and the chance to use us as an opportunity to grow your Resume' and gain more experience.

Thank you all!

CBS Studios owns all rights to Star Trek and they're very strict on who can use the name. The best option you have is stating which universe it is in either the Prime Universe or the one J.J. Abrams created with the new Star Trek films. Personally I think you should base it in the J.J. Abrams Universe as that's where the MMORPG Star Trek Online is based and it gives you a lot more flexibility with what you're creating. If you use the Prime Universe then you'd would have to know about all characters from all of the shows from TOS, Enterprise, The Next Generation, Voyager, Deep Space Nine, and the new Star Trek show that CBS is releasing some time soon. Either way you would have to convince them on allowing you to use the rights to Star Trek. I do like the idea and if you can't use the Star Trek name just give it a new name and I may be able to help with promotion of the game after that.

The issue with the JJ-universe is that in the past, people have received C&D's from Paramount. And we're trying to avoid that, thus it's being set in the Prime Universe. And we've seen every series from The Original Series all the way through Enterprise, so that's not an issue. As far as the new series in production, we're not going anywhere near that, as this game will be taking place during the Deep Space Nine timeline. Just prior to the start of the Dominion War. And that is our complete intention, we plan on pitching Star Trek: Tranquility to CBS once we've created a working Demo.
