Post news Report RSS Voice Casting - Public Call: Round 2

Seeking additional voiceover artists for Quick Battle AI character interactions.

Posted by on

We're now onto our second round of casting!

While playing Quick Battle, various AI enemies and allies will hail and communicate with you! We're looking for people to voice those hails, it's time to summon your inner Trek alien!

This instructional video outlines briefly what in-game events we need lines for, and gives some examples of a Klingon character. It's your job to interpret and create your own character(s) and lines. Remember, we cannot provide those lines for you!

We welcome multiple submissions, either of the same race, or multiple races.

Check out the Quickbattle NPC VO handbook.

(It's full of useful information and is vital to having your submission accepted!)

Send in your submissions to: submissions@stexcalibur.com

Try it out, you'd be surprised how after just a few recordings it will start coming very naturally!

Aww damn it, I wish I could do this but I have nor the right equipment nor the money to buy it.
I'm italian and while I'm not really a V.A. I still could have done something.

Hey! You really don't need professional equipment or software to record yourself, especially for this round since the recordings will be post-processed to add the effect of being radio transmissions!

Hi folks! If you'd watch the guideline video you will notice that for these recordings we are not seeking anything beyond average quality! Because these clips will be used for communications dialogue, any quality issues will be masked with appropriate post-processing effects! Try it out, speak naturally and just make it up as you go, that will eliminate the scripted feel when you play them back! Trust me, anyone can do this if they have a microphone!

Do you have a Rock Band or Guitar Hero USB microphone? Plug it into your Mac/PC and give it a go!

I'd love to do some voice acting but I don't think an Australian accident would blend too well...

Is this still open for audition tapes? Because I would love to be involved with this project. I have several ideas ready, and if this is still open I will record them ASAP.

Thanks for any information you can provide.
