In a strange world inhabitated by the weirdest creatures imaginable, peace could only last as long until somebody had the brilliant idea to create a crazed robot army. It's now up to the nerdy engineer Splee and her bulky pal Gløb to stop the invaders. In Splee & Gløb: Monster Defense, up to two players take control of the unlikely couple to fend off the invaders through clever tower-building and third-person combat in the most non-linear and asymmetric tower defense game you've ever seen.

Coming from the drafting board, we've spent the last year creating a prototype and visual direction for Splee & Gløb. We're happy to announce that the fist moving ingame footage is now ready to be presented to the public following the launch of our Kickstarter campaign.

The game is set in a bizarre and colorful fantasy world that is populated with even more bizarre, but quite cuddly and friendly monsters. Things were peaceful until one day, a crazed robot army arrived with the sole objective to exploit the planet's precious resources. It's now up to the nerdy engineer Splee and her hunky pal Gløb to stop the invaders.

The game could be considered a crossover between the MOBA and Tower Defense genres. As a player, you assume the role of either Splee or Gløb to fend off the invaders in singleplayer, 2 player co-op or versus mode. Using clever resource management, you can plant monsters with a wide variety of abilities on a hexagon-shaped grid to create mazes of self-supporting defenses.

Instead of just passively building towers...well, monsters in our case, you actually assume direct control of Splee and Gløb to use their tactical and combat skills. While Splee is best used strategically with healing and upgrading abilities, Gløb's clunky motor skills allow you to jump right into hand-to-hand combat or to give Splee a helping hand by lifting and re-arranging monsters.

If the game gets successfully funded, we'll be releasing it on PC platforms (Windows, Mac and Ubuntu Linux). We've also set up some stretch goals for the console fans which would allow us to create a Wii U, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version as well.

In the meantime, if any of you would like to see the game coming to Steam, there's also a Greenlight campaign to vote on. You can also download and play the current prototype. It contains a quick walkthrough tutorial, a singleplayer demo map and 2 player co-op.
