Valchion is a action RPG with retro graphics and simple mechanics. It features bright, GameBoy Color-styled visuals, and a (hopefully) memorable soundtrack. It should be released for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. It's also being made with the Blender Game Engine, which features fast game creation and no time spent exporting to an external engine.
Example of an implementation of switches. You can trigger cranks by shooting them, which allows for some good platforming and puzzles with them. Buttons would also be a nice touch, now that I think about it.
Woa, really amassing, just needs a little dust when the door falls XD
Love the animations, keep it up, keep it up :D
Thanks. Yeah, I want to add dust and shadows under the blocks, along with a little visual rail system for the blocks (so that they don't just 'rise up'). They won't actually be there on that map in the game - it's just a test. I probably should also color the crank differently to make it stand out.
Perhaps making it another color would be enough?
While i'm at it, using ammo... hmmm will ammo be a problem? (Like, low ammo during all game, or plenty?)
I'll make sure to place ammo drops around the maps, but your pistol (your first weapon) has infinite ammo, so it shouldn't be a problem.
