2.0 update

Snorms is an isometric arcade-shooter with loads of weapons, levels and monsters. It takes the best of old Doom games (labyrinthine levels, loads of enemies, powerful weapons) and add some modern gameplay mechanisms (experience system, upgradeable weapons, achievements) to create a fast-paced arcade-shooter.

You play a mecha-soldier resting on his native island, but it is quickly overrun by monsters from outer space and no outside help is available. To restore freedom you decide to grab your shotgun and kick them out!

If you want to help me, you can also vote on Steam Greenlight, it will help me introduce multiplayer to Snorms.

Have fun!

This game appears to have a graphics memory leak. The video data associated with the maps that have been completed doesn't seem to be clearing from the GPU's memory. GPU memory usage continues to increase until the game eventually crashes. I have to quit and restart the game after playing a couple of levels to avoid losing progress. Other than that it's a really fun game.

I'm using Windows Vista 32-bit and nVidia driver version 320.18

I didn't notice it, I could play the whole game without restarting, but indeed you are right, I've used GPU-Z to check memory usage, and it grows up.
When in top-view mode it's working fine, so it's definitely a problem on my side, and I think I know how to fix it

Thanks a lot for reporting, now that I know how to check video memory usage (never tried this tool before) I should be able to patch this very quickly

Ok, I feel really stupid, the whole texture recycling process was correctly coded, it was just not plugged in in isometric view ^^
Memory usage seems to be a lot more stable something around 100-150mb after playing a few levels (in total, with system stuff and such)

I will do more testing and add it to the patch I was planning to upload today
thanks !

Thanks for helping, haedri; however, I think I've found one other miner bug with episode 3, mission 10 (e03m10). I can find all of the secrets and money boxes, but I seem to be coming up short one monster kill so I can't earn a 100% completion. I've played the mission three times and scoured it thoroughly each time to be certain, but I still come up short one monster. I've earned a 100% completion for every mission but this one.

Anyway, this is a very fun and addicting game. Once I started playing it I couldn't put it down. I played it from start to finish over a two day span and I'm ready to start a new game. Nice work.

^ Miner should be minor. Sorry. Where's the edit button when you need it?

Thanks ^^ It's good to know you liked it :)

If a monster is missing, you should see it in the map (Escape > Map > Buy) as a red point. I've double-checked this map, and it's working fine, but there's one tricky part that might be the problem: (spoiler inside)

Did you try to blow the wall in the center of the big room with the 2 bosses ? it doesn't count as a secret, but it's still an interesting place

I wasn't aware of that. Anyway, blew it open and found the last monster hiding inside. Thanks.
