She Saw Valkyries is a thematic First Person Shooter experience, which utilises perma-death & Rogue-like tendencies to create a different experience each time.
She Saw Valkyries has 3 main pillars of design, which are:
- Randomised weapon progression: continually upgrade the gun by raiding treasure rooms, or scavenging the environment. Find the Cannon upgrade to fire led shots which can stun your foul enemies, then find a volatile modifier to spread their carcass throughout the environment, then find the Buck upgrade to release multiple projectiles with each shot. All upgrades stack, the further you progress, the more viscous your assault becomes.
-Perma-Death : The themes explored in this game are that of life, death, hate and the lust for redemption. Die in She Saw Valkyries, and if you made a note worthy mark on the environment then be immortalised in the hall of graves.
- Fast, Quake-like FPS action : The original genre of FPS needs a rebirth.
She Saw Valkyries is currently in the prototyping stages, so any and all sound and art are not yet at release quality.
