Hello! My name is Jacob843 and I am a fellow Scrumbler. In this tutorial I will be showing you the ropes of the ScrumbleShip GUI.

Here are some basic pictures to help you:

As you can see, there are 10 numbers. Below are their description, use, or function.

-----------------------------------------------

1 - Rotation. When in the inventory, you can select the rotation the block or item will face.
2 - Material. When in the inventory, you can select the material of the block, as long as it is in your ship's cargo
3 - Item/Block. This is the item you are placing down.
4 - Status. This tells you your suit's oxygen levels and fuel. To refuel, goto a suit refill.
5 - The game. This is where you will see your ship and other action packed game play.
6 - Heat Reader. This tells you the heat of the block you selected.
7 - Plasma Torch. When selected using the Number 1 on your keyboard, it will activate. When activated, left click on a block to destroy it.
8 - Place Tool. When selected using the Number 2 on your keyboard, it will activate. When activated, left click to place the block/item selected.
9 - Question Tool. When selected using the Number 3 on your keyboard, it will activate. When activated, mouse over a block to see the material and or item. It also displays the heat of a block/item.
10 - Laser. When selected using the Number 4 on your keyboard, it will activate. When activated, left click will fire a destructive laser.

Not included:

11 - Plasma Torch/Place Tool. When selected using the Number 5 on your keyboard, it will activate BOTH the Plasma Torch and Place tool. Left click to place, and right click to break.

-----------------------------------------------

Well that is the basics of the GUI. Hope you enjoyed my first tutorial for ScrumbleShip! Questions or comments are welcome!

Thanks for the helpful tutorial, Jacob! It should help new Scrumblers figure out what they're looking at.

Oh, as an aside: in future, once holds are a thing, the torch won't actually destroy blocks - it will cut them off whatever they're attached to. Then players and clones can do what they like with them - stick them somewhere else, store them in a hold, melt them down to build something else, or just give it a shove in the general direction of the closest star.
