External shot of Insolent's WhaleShark. The interior open expanses are challenging to render, so I've done a lot of shots of those, but we've never had an external shot of the ship before!

Thanks! It's going to be amazing in much the way a modern super tanker is - it'll haul a lot of stuff from point A to point B! Those four rectangular boxes in the back are cargo pods that hold a bit over 4,000 cubic meters of cargo each. They are detachable, and I intend for there to be eight of them.
4000 cubic meters each? Those pods look a lot bigger than they are. That or the Elysium has really oversized fueltanks.. Still, carrying 32 thousand tonnes of cargo is extremely impressive.
I love this thing, lots of cargo transported really fast. Have you considered replacing the titanium with aluminium? It would give you a lot of extra delta-v and if you give the engines some additional cooling, it would be even safe!
Heh heh, well since my motto is to build for any occasion, I prefer to stick with titanium due to its great heat and force resistance and low weight. Who knows, this ship may have to fend off pirates some day! Leave it to you to build for speed, which also might not hurt in a pirate attack.
You're right, I recounted, and the pods are 24 long x 13 high x 16 wide, for a volume of 4,992 cubic meters, and a total cargo capacity of 39,936 cubic meters. Based on whatever she's hauling, that could be anything from 39,936 tons (water) to 769,567 tons if hauling solid tungsten (highly unlikely)!
