It's not that bad, only like 90% of the hull was vaporized, there are still some molten sections left!

Haha you're right, it's not a total loss - those will eventually cool and there'll still be a few chunks of slag to cling to. :) Throw those in a factory and you've got the start of a cozy little shuttlecraft (if you make it out of thin plate)!

Description

This was caused by a small bug having to do with a few blocks of silicon carbide that's been fixed. My prototype spinal laser frigate turned into liquid metal, glowing cherry hot in the starscape. While it was indeed caused by a bug, somehow to me it looks beautiful.
