Today we are bidding farewell to Darkbasic Pro. But unlike after ending a bitter relation ship, I have nothing bad to say about DBPro. It served me well over the years, and it was fun working with it.
I hope that Samurai Legends on DBPro was able to show that it is possible to create good looking visuals on the engine.
Now Samurai Legends is moving to Unity, and I can't deny that I'm pretty excited about this.
Unity has a lot to offer, which opens new possibilities.
I hope we'll be able to make the best of (with) it.
Hey good luck with this! It's a shame to be moving away from DBP, I did recently as well (but to UDK instead). Out of interest, will the indieGogo money be going towards a Unity Pro licence?
Thanks Blobby101 ! The IndieGoGo campaign has ended last May, unfortunately it wasn't really successful.
The Pro license was donated by a good friend, whom I would like to thank once again.
Never the less, I think the first campaign was started a bit premature.
I will try again further down the line, in order to fund some plug-ins and professional help (animators, code, etc.).
If you need developer Unity, will be glad to help you!
