Space is big, empty and silent. Your role as a spaceship pilot is unclear.
You know a few coordinates to some random locations; but this is the only information you have.

Game Features:

  • Procedural World:
    The world is different every-time you play, with over 100 different objects to discover, like planets, stars and spaceships.
  • Randomized Loot:
    There is a large amount of different item types you can find to enhance your ship.
    These are randomized as well. Try to get legendary items!
  • Solitude of space:
    The universe is lonely, open and unforgiving, But that doesn't mean it isn't peaceful.
    We have tried to create a place for relaxation and beauty. 
  • Ship Customization
    Every ship has 6 item-slots. You can find different styles for your ship; auras and other improvements. 
  • Beautiful Art:
    Retro inspired pixel-art mixed with a posterized style, together with a strict color pallet,
    explore and enjoy a big set of visuals, crafted with Rymdresas art style. 
  • Original Soundtrack:
    Every ship has a custom soundtrack enhancing the world around it.
    Two musicians Tom Croke & Pat Jacobs created the soundtrack with their vision of the game.
  • Interactive Exploration:
    There are over a hundred text-based quests. The outcome reflects your choices. Poetic and abstract stories will tell you about the world of RymdResa.
  • Voice-acted Story:
    While traveling the universe you will some time hear a voice log from the pilot describing thoughts feelings and poetry. Voice acted by Eric Reed.
  • None Violent:
    We didn't want to create yet another space-shooter, with laser-beams and exploding aliens. In RymdResa the game play is peaceful, passive and relaxing.

Hello everyone, hope you all have a nice weekend.

This week we've:
★ Done some narrative writing.
★ Submitted RymdResa to IGF.
★ Implemented a new notification system.
★ Implemented some new cool gas clouds, creating some depth in the RymdResa Space.
★ Improved the zone-system.
★ Optimizing build script for Mac-version.

The work with RymdResa this week has gone well. We've implemented some new coolish gas clouds, just floating around in space, doing their thing, adding to the atmosphere. You can see an example below:

We've also worked with a new notification system this week, giving the player better feedback when playing. The notifications now appear in the left corner of the screen, telling about new item findings, how many years spent in space and so on.

Furthermore we've submitted RymdResa to IGF 2015, thats a bit exciting!!

Right now we're not planning to release it on android, we have no android-devices, you see. But maybe in the future :-)
