No one can ascertain the current Earth year (or if there is still Earth at all), so we start the count from Vostorg-7 year 0. This year marked the arrival of a joint Russian-Chinese colonization probe on Vostorg-7, a probe dispatched a very long time ago - in the early 21st century of Earth. After a long interstellar odyssey, it finally reached the unforgiving yet potentially habitable planet. The initial dreams of forging a unified spaceborne human nation were soon abandoned, as differing visions for utopian societies took root. Instead, seven independent human colonies emerged from the cosmic dust. While most of these colonies succumbed to rapid deterioration, with their inhabitants mutating into otherworldly beings or descending into feral lifestyles amidst Vostorg-7's unforgiving terrain, two colonies stood out as bastions of Man’s determination - the Derzhava and the Planet Cult.

But what exactly is it and what purpose does it serve with those 'legs's instead of tracks? It seems to have a regular tank turret... does it switch between legs and tracks?

If you read the description it says the legs are meant to go on terrain where a tank normally can't so it is more all terrain just to say like going over uneven terrain that could stop or get tracked vehicle stuck. Also further on it says the legs can be used to fortify itself in terrain and with that tank turret equipped with a rail gun you can probably imagine it as spider sniper tank.

So...Gungnir is on the far left, and the 120 is mounted centrally on the turret, right?
If so, it seems more like it's mounting an artillery piece than a (presumably) anti-armour weapon, but eh, I'll take it.
Also, will the hull be higher than the tops of the legs because I can see a few minor* issues with the railgun.
*Yes, they're major issues, as far as a tank is concerned.

Aaanyway, since I have a bit of a tendency of sticking my nose in every design decision of stuff I like without ever actually doing anything to properly contribute: How about a short, stubby railgun instead? From what I understand, the acceleration isn't really comparable to chemical guns anyhow, and your barrel doesn't get stuck on a leg because the hull is too low for whatever reason.

Ah, reminds me of the little spider mechs from Earth 2150. Looking good.

Description

The Odin is a heavy walking tank that fills the role of the EU's epic-unit. Designed to be more mobile in difficult terrain, the Odin can negotiate ground a MBT could only dream of covering. A distinctive feature of Odin is it's heavily armoured wedge shaped legs that the unit can use to fortify itself when coming under heavy fire. It does this by burrowing into the surrounding terrain taking on the appearance of a tick, and is just as difficult to dislodge.
The Odin's main armament is its Gungnir railgun. This fearsome weapon packs an immense punch at the cost of a lengthy cool down period. This leads the Odin to lean heavily on it's secondary weapons, the 120mm tank gun and a 3 barrelled rotary cannon.
