It took longer than expected, but after 6 months of intense development, ROTC: Ethernet's free and open-source spiritual successor (which was successfully crowdfunded earlier this year) has its first public release:
There is not much content yet. The release mainly serves as a public sign of life and (hopefully) to attract additional developers/contributors to the project.
