With Alpha Testing slated to begin December 20th, we are officially putting together our QA Focus Groups to help test and implement the main core and functionality of the game until the Alpha release. We are accepting all application submissions who have a desire to participate and volunteer in the development process of the Project!
My name is Chaz Hottinger and I will be the Senior Lead QA for Realm Zero. I will be in charge of heading the North America focus group. My partner Thomas Vijge will head up the European focus group. You have all probably best known me here as Trenial. You may still call me Trenial or simply Chaz if it suites you. Enough about me and introductions and lets get down to business.
As you all may know we are slowly approaching Alpha slated to Launch on December 20th this year. Prior to this launch we have many things to accomplish and implement. And a lot of that needs to be tested. Lets first discuss what QA is, and what it entails. QA is an abbreviation for Quality Assurance. It is our duty to ensure the product maintains, you guessed it, quality. We are the folks who help flesh the game out, locate and document bugs and issues, provide valuable feedback on core mechanics, and various other elements during the production phase of Realm Zero. Those involved take testing to rigorous levels, and are expected to maintain extreme attention to detail, demonstrate critical thinking, and have strong communication skills.
The QA Teams will be providing an ongoing participation through the entire life span of the project, be it, Alpha, Beta, Launch, new content, and expansions. With that being said, this is no light position for a player to request and participate in. Much will be expected from you, and little forgiveness afforded to you. I will run a tight ship, and expect the best from anyone volunteering on the team. Anyone involved in QA will be expected to be on their best behavior at all times, in-game, or out of game. You will be required to act professionally and conduct yourself in a courteous manner at all times. Maturity is your best friend!
Anyone desiring to apply to participate will find a link to an application separate from Alpha at the bottom of this post. Merely applying does not qualify you. All participants will be hand picked by either myself or by Thomas depending on your time zone. Currently due to project limitations and our own lives, there will be no other geographic leaders. We thank you for your interest in wanting to participate and help Realm Zero but if you currently reside outside North America or Europe, we ask that you apply to participate as an Alpha Tester. This currently is NOT subject to change at this time.
