Hey guys, Meatbox here
and alot of you know that i have been hard at work for quartal, but ive ran into a few stumps
due to RAM limitations, the game will not be 27 maps long, and more or less 18
due to shortage of layouts, there will be 12 test chambers and 6 out of chamber maps
i may be able to sneak some maps in, but i need layouts.
So thats what im starting this competition!
If any of you can make some layouts ( no mapping experience required, just a layout ) for test chambers WITHIN the quartal grasp, i will do my best to make your maps a reality!
Requirements
at least 1 full page dotted with the layout
a paragraph and such explaining how to beat the chamber
has to include at the least 3 of the entities ( Cubes, Turrets, Spike plates, firebals, speed plates, air tubes )
Has to be medium sized ( not big, not small, just right )
ALL LAYOUTS DUE ON JUNE 29TH
The top 5-10 maps will be chosen

I cant play first slice. I don't get an error at all, its just a black screen. I deleted playdemo qwe and it still wont work
If you have a phat PSP, you need to copy the EBOOT from the folder into the main directory.
After deleting the playdemo line, I could get it running.
However, it crashed with the memory error a few maps in.
I can't get Quartal FIRST SLICE to run.
Using a Phat PSP, I used the Phat EBOOT, and got this error:
The following error occurred.
Cache_TryAlloc: 3366368 is greater than free hunk
Press CROSS to quit.
open autoexec.cfg and remove "play qwe"
This looks very interesting. Trying out on my phat right now.

btw, when you go on the maps button on the main menu when you go on any of the maps, there is no portal gun. example: the first map is a test with the energy ball and the death water. There is no portal gun to complet the level. Please fix!
