Very good game that would be improved by further interaction between the characters you can generate.

FFT meets EVE online... awesome!

The game is simple to play and easy to understand, once you get going it is a great way to waste a few hours and chase the boredom away.

I played "Core Exiles", which is a much earlier game by the same team. Project Terran is clearly cast in the same mold, but is already greatly superior in some ways.

Possibly the biggest improvement for me is that it actually encourages casual play. Instead of being handed a pile of skill points as your character gains a level, skills are learned over time: that is, each level of each skill takes a certain amount of time to learn, so you can kick it off, play for 15 minutes, and then go do something else, while the skill increases in the background. Higher levels of some skills may take a week or more to advance, so if you plan things right you can even advance while you're on vacation!

For me, that means that even though I largely play in 10-20 minute intervals, my character is still advancing steadily.

The game is still in development, so things might change, but it's already in good shape for any of the primary "careers" (hauling freight, mining, combat), as well as crafting, commodities trading, and a few other things. Each character will probably focus on one thing, but there's nothing except time preventing them from exploring two or more careers.

Overall, there are still some pieces that aren't yet fleshed out, but the base of the game is there, and works well.

Very open ended game, you can progress down multiple career options.

Still in the early stages but interesting to play.
