Project Terran is a Sci-Fi browser game. It takes place in a single Galaxy Called Phoenix. There are 119 Systems with 775 Locations. Play style is PVE with immersive community interaction.

There are Four Factions. Colonial Union, Commonwealth Of Planets, Foreen Alliance & the Planetary Federation. Although humanity is now spread out through the Galaxy all newcomers start their journeys at Atlas Station in Terra.

Project Terran is NOT a power leveling frenzy game. It’s not about who’s the highest level. Its about your characters and their ‘Skills’ which expand their abilities to further their professions in game.

Both Travel & Skill learning is time based (real time) This means you need to plan ahead and work on your overall strategy. There are no Profession Locks, so whilst you can initially select a ‘Profession’ this only gives you a boost in that initial profession. It does not stop you from learning alternative profession skills and mixing and matching styles.

October Halloween Events

News

October is here - so let's get started. Today, you will begin to see the Halloween Pumpkins appear as 'Play to Win' festive handouts. These come in the usual format of the pop-up message on screen at random times. The more you play in the periods between messages, the more you will receive.

Special Halloween Exchange
I'm starting the hand out early. This is so you can begin to COLLECT the Pumpkins, as they have a SPECIAL use! I have opened the Halloween Exchanges, this store is looking to take as MANY of the Pumpkins off your hands as you have.

They will pay you 1,000 XP per Pumpkin PLUS award you a Halloween Point. These points you can then use to Purchase Special PODS. These are pods ONLY created and available for the Halloween Festivities! You will only be able to gain them through the Exchange office, and only trade for them in Halloween Points. So hand in ALL your pumpkins.

Of course, in a sign of fairness, the pumpkins still retain their normal festive store value if you don't wish to take part in grabbing some great pumpkin Pods!

Festive NPC's Ready for Dispatch

I have revived the Festive Halloween NPC's from their year-long hibernation sleep. I warmed them up and gave them all a strong coffee. They are now ready to begin their duty stations, handing out prizes in return for Pumpkins. They have also been given permission to inflate their handouts somewhat this year, so check them out.

Claim a Festive NPC
Why not get in early and claim a Festive NPC for your Settlement. I'm offering you the chance to ask for a festive NPC (chosen at random) to be added to your settlement for the Festive Period between now and the beginning of January. If you'd like one, pop over to THIS POST can read the details and claim one.

Halloween Collection
As has become the norm these days, I will be running my 'Collect one of each Pumpkin', then drop them off to me, for a festive special prize this year. You'll note we are also adding an Exile Resource Token to that list! This is a Collection competition and as with my NEW hand in method for some of these 'larger' hand ins you will be able to hand them in Via the in Game PM section of the game.

You can check out what you need and how to enter and collect your reward OVER HERE

Make sure to READ fully and follow the instructions, you have LOTS of time so don't panic and the hand in remains open till the 5th of November. So lots of time for late player to player trades etc.

Halloween Promenade Hunt
I seeded over a 1,000 pumpkins that will be appearing on the Promenades you will be visiting over October. Note these down and report ONE to me via This competition post. You only need to report one to be entered into a Special Prize Draw on the 1st of November. Prizes to be announced at the time :)

Rexxoleen Calendar
We are on the lookout for the missing pieces of the infamous Rexxoleen Calendar. A nice fat reward is in store for those that take the time to collect them, hand them in and THEN report the fact - check out the details OVER HERE

More Competitions and Events
There will be more to come this October but this should get you started and the collections underway! Thanks for taking part in the Core-Exiles Universe and being such a Cool bunch of fellow Exiles!

Have fun folks!

This game has a great idea, but the support is almost zero.

Sign in on discord? You're told to read "the stickys".
My question: Where are they?
Answer: At the top.

Top of what and where?

The people on the discord app don't seem helpful. That's a very deflective answer. The first thing this game tells you do prioritize is buying a shield for your ship.

How to do this is maddeningly unclear and Discord support is zero.

The community needs to be a bit more organized and the game is open to the public now, so ramping up support is a must.

Overall: This needs work.

Being PvE (Player versus Engine), this game is a true relief for a good night's rest. Even after being offline for a few days, you will find back your character untouched with all its equipment intact.

You can explore the Galaxy, solo or with friends to help you. Training the skills for one of the many possible professions is only a matter of time.
Once started, you're off for many hours of game play and if you like also chat with other players. A pleasant community.

I've played for 3 months (an hour a day or so) and I still find the game very entertaining.

Project Terran is a fully functional game in development that is slowly increasing available activities as the developers can create, test, balance, and implement. This provides a lot of flexibility as to how the game develops with feedback taken from the community. I've been in the game for over a year and I've seen it grow considerably and I look forward to what is to come.

With skill learning being time based instead of points you are not confined to a preset limit of how many skills you can learn. It is simply how much time would you like to invest. Skill levels can be set to be learned while online and the counter continues even when you are offline. This allows you to grow at your own pace and direction.

Project Terran allows you to create a team of individual characters that work together. The Miner character will collect the resources required to craft ships or ship components. He may mine asteroids or harvest resources from planets. The Hauler earns credits for the team by moving cargo between ports. A Combat pilot can protect any of the characters and may also salvage the ships he destroys for valuable material required for crafting. Recycling old gear also yields valuable materials.

Anything that you may need can be crafted. Mining lasers or weapons, combat and mining scanners, high power reactors, ship shields, freight or cargo bay expanders, and of course bigger ships. It's a very open ended game where you choose your own direction and work towards your goals. All of your character can learn any of the skills, so the direction you develop is completely up to you.
